Today, May 1, I retired after nearly 17 years at the same company. I had worked for another company for 18 and had some entrepreneurial jobs in the middle. Definitely got my 40 plus years in the workforce.
Many have asked me what was I going to do after I retired? My answer was pretty much the same – the first order of business was to do as little as possible. Allow myself to learn to relax. To begin the process of returning to wholeness. To begin tuning deeply into my own inner wisdom; to find my own pace; to essentially take time to “smell the roses.”
I am looking at this part of the journey in my life as the road to refirement. Being fired and fueled from the inside. Allowing myself to be even more open, expansive and allowing. Who knows where it will lead. I am feeling somewhat drawn to the Northwest and Canada and am waiting for the timing to come into play.
