Now this is a word I have resisted a good portion of my life.  Here’s my trigger:  for many years the metaphysical realm has talked about how each person is unique; our energetic imprint is one-of-a-kind; we have an unique note or frequency;  we are like snowflakes – no two are alike. Ya-da, ya-da, ya-da.  My problem, I don’t see that or get that.  Other people do what I do, maybe not wrapped into one package, however, there are others – LOTS of others. How can I possibly own being unique when that is true?  That is the crux of the challenge for me in building my own business.  What UNIQUE services do I offer when there are others who do the same thing?

Not only that, with all the billions of people on the planet, I have a really hard time grasping that there are billions of unique frequencies in the world, how many notes can there possibly be?  What scale can the Universe be possibly playing that would allow for that many unique combinations?  (Do you feel a hint of skepticism? A bit of a mental approach in looking at this?)

So, the exercise is, going forward, how can I bring and embrace uniqueness into my life? Maybe I can start with the microcosm rather than the macrocosm.  In my sphere of influence, can I admit that I am unique entity for at least one person?  Why, yes I can.

Maybe, just maybe, it is time to start owning some of the bigger statements about me.   The ones that make me quake in my boots.  Here’s an example of that:  While taking a class on higher guidance, one of the exercises was to work with my Trusted Source on my essence-based purpose, blessing and mission.

My essence-based purpose: I am the truth that lives within love and the love that lives within truth.

My transformation blessing (i.e., why is it someone would seek me out):   To form a bridge to bring the unknown into the light.  I do this through my loving, non-judmental nature which allows me to listen at deep levels; people feel heard, seen and felt.  I ask deep questions that allows a person to see their truth and that sets them free.

My Mission:  To bridge heaven and earth.

If I do all of that, will that make me unique?

Ok, time to push the button before courage evaporates.
